SS&C Technologies has finalized its $1.03 billion acquisition of Calastone, the world's largest funds network built on distributed ledger technology. The MOVE signals deepening blockchain integration within traditional finance infrastructure.

Calastone's platform connects 4,500 financial institutions across 58 countries, processing over £250 billion ($333.72 billion) in monthly investment value. Its blockchain infrastructure enables real-time settlement and automated fund transactions—capabilities increasingly sought by asset managers exploring tokenization.

"This acquisition accelerates our ability to innovate for clients as the industry evolves toward digital assets," said SS&C CEO Bill Stone. The deal positions SS&C to capitalize on institutional adoption of blockchain settlement systems, particularly for tokenized traditional securities.
